Dolichos biflorus and Caesalpinia bonducella have antimicrobial action, which prevents UTI usually observed in BPH due to urine stagnation. Spirostanol-based steroidal saponins 1–3 of Tribulus terrestris have active antimicrobial and antifungal effects. Crataeva magna has cytoprotective action and prevents UTI. 6. Antihypertensive action: The intensity of BPH symptoms and arterial hypertension are coassociated.
