Clinical Pharmacology Herbolax relieves chronic constipation by its laxative, prokinetic, and prebiotic actions. Herbolax, by virtue of its stool-softening and intestinal motility-enhancing actions, corrects constipation. As a gentle laxative, Herbolax assures smooth evacuation of feces without disturbing the fluid-electrolyte balance. Herbolax does not produce physiological dependence. Indications • Chronic constipation • Constipation during postoperative and non-ambulatory periods • For pre-radiographic bowel preparation Dosage Chronic constipation: Capsule: 2 to 3 capsules before dinner with warm water. Tablet: 2 to 3 tablets before dinner with warm water. The dosage is best individualized.
