Hair follicular degeneration-inhibitory and hair growth cycle-stimulatory actions: The hair growth cycle undergoes three phases: anagen, catagen and telogen, and finally, the hair sheds. Butea monosperma and Butea parviflora inhibit hair follicular degeneration and extend the anagen phase. They enhance proliferation and maturation of precursor epithelial cells of the final hair strand. Hairzone prevents chemotherapy-induced dystrophic changes in the growing follicles, and also premature regression of severely damaged follicles. Thus, it prevents massive apoptosis in the proximal hair bulb. 2. Antimicrobial action: Butea monosperma exhibits antifungal and antiviral activities, and also has a significant bactericidal effect. Butea parviflora has antimicrobial action. 3. Astringent action: Astringent solutions are used for the relief of minor skin irritations such as those resulting from superficial cuts, allergies, insect bites, or fungal infections. Butea monosperma has astringent action and prevents hair fall. 4. Antioxidant action: Butea monosperma has potent free radical scavenging action, and is proven effective in promoting the therapeutic activity of Hairzone. Hairzone® (solution)
