The demulcent action of Cystone forte tablet soothes and protects the irritated or inflamed internal tissues of the urinary tract. The antioxidant action of Cystone forte tablet prevents free radical damage to the urinary tract. The antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory actions of Cystone forte tablet provide relief from the symptoms of urolithiasis and UTI. Indications • Urolithiasis (urinary stones up to 12 mm) and crystalluria • Postlithotripsy complications Dosage • Urolithiasis (urinary stones up to 12 mm) and crystalluria: 2 tablets twice daily. • Postlithotripsy complications: 2 tablets twice daily. Adverse Effects No adverse effects have been reported. Contraindications There are no known contraindications. Special Precautions In complete ureteral obstruction, it is not advisable to recommend Cystone forte tablet. Drug Interactions No clinically significant drug interactions have been reported. Presentation Box of 2 blister-pack strips of 30 tablets each. Pharmacological Actions of Principal Ingredients 1. Antilithiatic and lithotriptic actions: Cystone forte tablet exhibits antilithiatic action that helps prevent the deposition, accumulation, and supersaturation of calculogenic chemicals in urine, and thus, inhibits calculogenesis. Cystone forte corrects the crystalloid–colloid imbalance. Cystone forte possesses lithotriptic action, which dissolves the mucin (an agent that binds stone particles). Didymocarpus pedicellata, Dolichos biflorus, Saxifraga ligulata, Tribulus terrestris, and hajrul yahood bhasma prevent the deposition, accumulation, and supersaturation of calculogenic chemicals in urine. Hajrul yahood bhasma has lithotriptic property. Rubia cordifolia helps dissolve oxalate stones present in the urinary tract, thereby facilitating their expulsion without recourse to surgery. 2. pH-Renormalizing action: Cystone forte tablet renormalizes urinary pH and relieves burning micturition.
