T h e r a p e u t i c I n d e x 23 Composition Each mL of Bonnispaz drops contains: Oils Krishnajiraka (Carum carvi)................................ 0.69 mg Yavani (Carum copticum).................................... 0.69 mg Sunthi (Zingiber officinale). ................................ 0.46 mg Clinical Pharmacology Bonnispaz has antispasmodic and analgesic, carminative, antiflatulent, mucoprotective, anti-nauseating, and digestive-stimulant actions. Bonnispaz relieves the smooth muscle spasm associated with colic, protects the gastrointestinal (GI) mucosa, and removes entrapped gas from the GI tract. Bonnispaz exerts antispasmodic and carminative actions, renormalizes the intestinal transit time, restores normal functioning of the digestive tract, and thus relieves infantile colic. Indication Infantile colic Dosage 4 drops (0.132 mL) initially, followed by 2 drops (0.066 mL) two to three times daily for a period of 3–5 days. Adverse Effects No adverse effects have been reported. Contraindications To be avoided in bowel obstruction.
