Presentation Sealed pack of 30 tablets. Pharmacological Actions of Principal Ingredients 1. Hemostatic action: Emblica officinalis, Hemidesmus indicus, Cynodon dactylon, and Mimosa pudica have hemostatic action, which control local tissue hemorrhage effectively. Hemidesmus indicus is a vasoconstrictor that checks capillary blood flow. Pravala pishti, Symplocos racemosa, Adhatoda vasica, and Mesua ferrea are styptics used in bleeding disorders. Trinakantamani pishti is useful in hemorrhages, hemoptysis, hematuria, hemorrhoids, menorrhagia, and other bleeding disorders. Sourashtri bhasma has hemostatic activity that helps control bleeding faster. 2. Anti-inflammatory action: Emblica officinalis, Hemidesmus indicus, Symplocos racemosa, and Adhatoda vasica have potent anti-inflammatory action that controls local tissue inflammation. 3. Wound-healing action: Symplocos racemosa helps in wound-healing. 4. Antioxidant action: Oxidative stress has an important role in hemorrhage, especially in nosebleeds that are a result of injury by reactive oxygen species (ROS), which induce an increase in nitric oxide production. Also, serum in patients with hemorrhage induces ROS formation in naive endothelial cells. Furthermore, oxidative stress contributes to DNA damage and tissue injury. Hence, reducing oxidative damage is an additional therapeutic target for controlling hemorrhage. Emblica officinalis, Hemidesmus indicus, Santalum album, and Cynodon dactylon have potent antioxidant action that corrects local tissue oxidative damage. 5. Demulcent action: Demulcent herbs have high content of mucilage, which soothes and protects the irritated or inflamed internal tissues.
