Clinical Pharmacology Serpina causes depletion of the peripheral catecholamine (noradrenaline) reserves, which results in reduction of blood pressure. Serpina decreases adrenergic tone and controls anxiety, and hence, is beneficial in the treatment of anxiety disorders. Indication Mild to moderate hypertension. Dosage ½ to 2 tablets twice to thrice daily. Adverse Effects No significant adverse effects have been reported. Contraindications • Pregnancy and lactation • Major depressive disorders • Patients receiving electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) Special Precautions Patients with bronchial asthma and bronchitis. Drug Interactions No clinically significant drug interactions have been reported.
