Drug Interactions No clinically significant drug interactions have been reported. Presentation Sleeve pack of 8 tablets. Pharmacological Actions of Principal Ingredients 1. Carminative and prokinetic actions: Zingiber officinale helps normalize gastric movements and reduce nausea through its prokinetic action—it increases gastroduodenal motility and gastric emptying. Zingiber officinale has been used to prevent motion sickness since several years. A study reported that pretreatment with Zingiber officinale reduced nausea, tachygastria, and the plasma vasopressin level. It also extends the latent period prior to the onset of nausea and hastens recovery after vection cessation. Zingiber officinale contains gingerols, and studies have proven that gingerols effectively prevent nausea by regulating neurotransmitters (including 5-hydroxytryptamine, substance P, and dopamine) and improving the gastrointestinal function. Citrus limon is reported to be effective in controlling nausea and vomiting and in restoring proper digestion and taste.
