Antimicrobial action: Honey has potent antimicrobial action against Candida albicans, Enterobacter cloacae, Escherichia coli, Haemophilus influenzae, Klebsiella species, Proteus species, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Shigella dysenteriae, and Streptococcus hemolyticus (group B). Emblica officinalis and Curcuma longa have antibacterial and antifungal activities. Bacteriological study shows that Curcuma longa is effective against Escherichia coli, Klebsiella species, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Staphylococcus aureus. Ocimum sanctum exhibits activity against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Terminalia bellirica is active against beta-lactamase producing methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Rosa damascena has antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. Carum copticum has antimicrobial property. 2. Anti-inflammatory action: Honey, Emblica officinalis, Curcuma longa, Cinnamomum camphora, and Ocimum sanctum have local anti-inflammatory action. 3. Analgesic action: Emblica officinalis, Curcuma longa, and Ocimum sanctum have local analgesic action. 4. Antihistaminic action: Carum copticum has remarkable antihistaminic and anti-allergic activities. Curcuma longa has potent anti-allergic activity. 5.
