Clinical Pharmacology Koflet syrup exerts therapeutic effects by its antitussive, mucolytic, anti-allergic, bronchodilatory, anti-inflammatory, demulcent, antimicrobial, antioxidant, and immunomodulatory actions. Koflet syrup is beneficial in both productive and dry cough. The mucolytic and expectorant properties reduce the viscosity of bronchial secretions and facilitate expectoration. The peripheral antitussive action of Koflet syrup reduces the bronchial mucosal irritation and related bronchospasm. In addition, the anti-allergic, antimicrobial, and immunomodulatory properties provide relief from cough. The demulcent action of Koflet syrup provides peripheral soothing action on respiratory passages. Indications • Cough associated with acute and chronic upper and lower respiratory tract infections (RTI) • Cough associated with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) • Smoker’s cough Koflet® (syrup) The cough reliever Koflet syrup is a honey-based Ayurvedic proprietary formulation, recommended for cough of varied etiology. Koflet syrup is devoid of central depressant action, and does not cause sedation, constipation, addiction, or drying of respiratory secretions. Koflet syrup is well tolerated and accepted by all age-groups.
