The desensitizing activity of Suryakshara blocks the transmission of pain from the tooth nerve, thereby reducing tooth sensitivity. Syzygium aromaticum and Ocimum basilicum have excellent pain-relieving activity and a mild local anesthetizing effect. 2. Antimicrobial action: Syzygium aromaticum, Cinnamomum zeylanicum, Ocimum basilicum, Eucalyptus globulus, Mentha piperita, and Myristica fragrans possess antimicrobial activity against certain oral pathogens and thus help to maintain oral hygiene. 3. Mouth-freshening action: Myristica fragrans, Syzygium aromaticum, Foeniculum vulgare, Eucalyptus globulus, Cinnamomum zeylanicum, and Mentha piperita impart a fragrant, mouth-freshening effect that helps in the management of halitosis.
