This article discusses about how to set up a kitchen garden and provides tips to beginners. Area Kitchen gardens can be set up both indoors and outdoors, depending on the space available. The location should have adequate sunlight for at least 4 to 5 hours a day, preferably in the morning. The following are some areas to consider for setting up a kitchen garden: Backyard: Backyards are the most preferred area for kitchen gardens because among all the areas of the house, these have the right amount of exposure to sunlight, easy access to water, and direct earth/ soil to supply essential nutrients for the plants. If the size of the backyard is small, one can opt to have a “vertical garden”. Terrace: This is another place with ample space and sunlight for growing a kitchen garden. Pots can be placed strategically to help the climbers and creepers grow freely across the walls of a terrace. Windowsill: If there is space constraint, windowsills can be well-utilized for a kitchen garden to grow suitable plants. Kitchen Gardening Harnessing Happiness From Nature's Basket Happiness Zone ’
